| We have created several sapphire rings in our Hidden Treasures
design. So we began to wonder how this design would
look with a diamond. The result is pretty spectacular!
The center diamond is an ideal-cut round brilliant that weighs one and three-quarter carats. It is set with graceful double prongs that elegantly taper toward the base of the mounting. This ring is beautifully hand crafted in platinum and 18kt yellow gold. |

 The shoulders of the ring are gently scalloped to create a flowing concave surface that sweeps upward to meet the diamond. For an added touch of elegance, the edges of the shoulders and the setting are milgrained with a bead-like pattern. The white brilliance of the diamond is perfectly complemented by the cool elegance of the platinum. 
Beneath the ideal-cut diamond, we set two small diamonds between the upper and lower galleries of the mounting. The two diamonds are round brilliants of exceptional quality. Then under the shoulders of the ring, we placed two small circles of 18kt yellow gold. These golden circles continue through to the other side of the ring like secret passageways. We love to create rings with special details and hidden accents!  Creating a beautiful jewel that is exceptionally well crafted is the true test of a jeweler's artistry and skill. Here you can see how carefully the underside of this ring was constructed. Note the sturdy setting that cradles the larger diamond, the smooth finish of the inner surfaces, and the crisp, even edges along the band. The underside of this ring is as beautifully finished as the top. |
