Etruscan Revival Pin with Coral

Etruscan revival pin in 18kt gold with coral cabochon.

Etruscan Revival Pin

This diminutive Etruscan Revival pin packs a lot of beauty and dazzle into a small space.  It features a radiant angle-skin coral cabochon set in a recessed golden bowl.  The surface of the bowl and frame of the pin are accented with rich twisted-wire work,  stylized flowers and painstakingly set golden beads.  All hallmarks of fine revival jewelry from the Victorian era.  Crafted in 18kt gold,  circa 1900.
Cost:  Although this beautiful brooch has sold,  you will find many more fine brooches in the Antique Brooch Gallery.

Measurements:  This 18kt gold brooch measures  1"  across and from top to bottom.  The coral cabochon is just over  0.25"  in diameter.

The rear of the pin shows the intricate design of this handcrafted jewel.  Many of the smaller jewels from the late Victorian era evidence a level of detail and workmanship that cannot be realized today. Note how the pin stem is secured by an early safety clasp which helps us date this piece to around 1900.
