Purple Sapphire Custom Gold Ring

| A striking trio of Fancy Purple sapphires set
in a handcrafted yellow gold ring. The center cushion-cut purple
sapphire is bezel set on the diagonal, creating a dramatic
line, accented with a smaller round purple sapphire on
each side. Our goldsmith crafted the top of the ring as
one complete bezel surrounding the trio of stones and thereby
creating the illusion of a solid field of lush purple.
We chose this center sapphire for it's vibrant plum-like purple hue with flashes and overtones of red. We then matched the two smaller round sapphires to the center stone and voila! – a gorgeous trilogy of yummy purple!  The 18kt yellow gold band is rounded in profile and polished with a bright finish. The scrumptious color of the purple sapphires is beautifully complemented by the rich warmth of the yellow gold metal.  After crafting the gold ring and bezel settings, our engraver hand engraved a delicate design of leaves and vines along the surface of the band. The combination of the sinuous vines and leaves with the vibrant Plum color of the sapphires captures the image of mid-summer foliage and a lavish field of pansies
 This view displays the striking shape of the bezel settings. We crafted the center bezel to follow the natural lines of the cushion shaped sapphire and for dramatic flare, we created a distinct taper in width from the top to the bottom of the setting. Each round sapphire bezel was also polished into a striking tapered conical shape to exaggerate the design. You can also see in this photo, the sturdy bezel walls protecting the gems, and the wonderfully thick profile of the round band, assuring you many years of wear and enjoyment. Like all Bijoux Extraordinaire jewels, this ring was made to last a lifetime.
 The round band appears to flow into the round sapphire bezels, continuing from the curvaceous lines of the leaves and rolling vines. This image also shows how the sapphires are set close to one another, with no gaps or metal between the trio, and also with a slight downward angle to create a rounded fit along the natural curve of your finger.  The underside of the ring has an exceptional polish, crisp and symmetrical windows beneath each gemstone, and beautifully finished edges. At Bijoux Extraordinaire we believe that fine rings should be finished as nicely on the underside as they are on the top. We also left a small portion of the base of the band plain to allow for easy size adjustments. The delicate pattern of vines and leaves encompasses most of the circumference in all the right places!  We stamp our rings with our registered hallmark (BEL) and the purity of the precious metals ("18K" for 18kt gold). These marks assure you of uncompromising craftsmanship, imaginative design and exceptional quality.  |
