Tanzanite and Diamond Custom Ring
Tanzanite Tango |
A brilliant Tanzanite dances across the top of
this ring. We bezel set the Tanzanite on the diagonal for
a more dynamic look, like Tango dancers gliding across the
ballroom floor. The tanzanite is a square barion cut with
a beautiful Blue-Violet hue. The ring was hand crafted in
platinum with 18kt yellow gold accents.
 Along the shoulders of the ring we channel set three round brilliant-cut diamonds. The diamonds are graduated in size with the smallest of the diamonds set closest to the Tanzanite. You can see here that the walls of the channel settings are thick, smooth and straight - an indication of the superior craftsmanship employed in creating the ring. The shoulders of the ring narrow near the Tanzanite's bezel, broaden along the middle of the band and gently taper towards the base of the ring. The band has a flat edge with softly rounded corners creating a comfortable fit.  On the side of the ring we carved tapered, recessed compartments. In the compartments we placed small golden scrolls crafted in 18kt gold. The back of the compartments is textured with a stippled finish to heighten the contrast with the brightly finished yellow gold. On the faces of the bezel walls we burnish set four small brilliant-cut diamonds for an additional touch of sparkle. These scintillating diamonds are a brilliant complement to the soft violet hue of the Tanzanite.  As with all fine jewels, the underside of this ring is finished as nicely as the topside. The under-bezel beneath the Tanzanite is smoothly finished, symmetrical and beautifully polished. The small cut-outs beneath each diamond (known as "á jouré" ) are also crisp, symmetrical and evenly spaced.  All jewelry should be stamped with the maker's mark and the purity of the precious metals. This photograph displays our Registered Trademark (BEL) on the inside of the rings band. The opposite side of the inner band displays the precious metal marks for platinum and 18kt gold. These marks are your assurance of imaginative design, exceptional craftsmanship and taste in a jewel.  |

| The ring is handcrafted in platinum and 18kt gold. The barion-cut Tanzanite weighs 3.29 carats and measures 8.4 millimeters along each side. The six round brilliant-cut diamonds set along the shoulders of the ring weigh a total of 0.40 carats and are D color and VVS - VS clarity. The four smaller diamonds burnish set in the bezel walls weigh a total of 0.13 carats and are also D color and VVS clarity. The ring is finger size 6 1/2, but can be resized to fit most fingers. | ||
