 This striking ring is crafted in platinum and hand engraved with a fiery Sun. In the center of the Sun we set a fiery orange Mandarin garnet. Around the sides of the band, flowing scrolls radiate from the Sun like a solar wind. |
 This style of engraving is known as "relief engraving." The engraver works carefully to remove small bits of metal allowing the design to emerge in high relief. The background was then blackened to highlight the Sun and scroll elements. This type of engraving is very time consuming, but the results are worth the effort!
 We mentioned that the ring includes a hidden message. It just happens that the wearer of the ring is named Dawn. So we could not resist secreting a rising sun - the Dawn - amidst the flowing scrolls. A fine jewel should not only be beautiful, but also carry special meaning for the wearer.
 From the back of the ring you can see the Sun rising in the East and setting in the West (to the left). We love adding small, special details to each jewel. |
