To complement the sparkle of the diamond, the shoulders and sides of the ring are hand engraved with a classic chevron pattern. |

 Beneath the diamond, the golden prongs are anchored to upper and lower galleries crafted in platinum. The engraving of the upper gallery repeats the elegant chevron pattern. The edges of the galleries and band are accented with a slightly raised, bead-like pattern. This technique, known as "milgraining," adds a final touch of elegance to the design. From the side, you can see the care with which this ring was crafted. Note the crispness and depth of the hand engraving, the sturdy thickness of the band and the symmetry of the design,. All signs of a master craftsman taking great pride in his work. |

 In fact creating this ring involved contributions from four master craftsmen: a diamond cutter to fashion the diamond, a gifted platinum smith to build and shape the ring, an expert engraver to meticulously carve the chevron design and milgrain the edges, and a gem setter to carefully set the diamond. Each is an expert in his specialty. Their talent and expertise is apparent in the beauty and quality of the finished ring.
 We advise clients to closely examine jewels from every direction. The beauty and craftsmanship of a fine jewel should be apparent from all sides, even the hidden, rarely seen inside. As with all Bijoux jewels, the inside of this ring is as nicely finished as the top. Note the beautifully polished surfaces, the clean symmetrical edges and how the yellow gold prongs elegantly flow into the sturdy platinum setting that cradles the diamond. Along the inner sides of the band you can also see Bijoux Extraordinaire's registered hallmark ("BEL") and the precious metal mark ("PLAT") for the purity of the platinum. These touchmarks are your assurance of quality, craftsmanship and beauty.
