Hand Engraved Platinum Ring

A hand-engraved platinum ring set with a gorgeous Fancy Violet sapphire and two sparkling diamonds. The ring captures the simple elegance of a beautifully cut gemstone and masterful craftsmanship.
We chose this sapphire for its brilliance and saturated color - a rich violet hue with a touch of blue. The sapphire weighs 1.11 carats. The sapphire is accented with two round brilliant side diamonds. The two diamonds are ideal cut and carefully matched for color and clarity. The ring is hand made with the setting specially crafted to accommodate the size and shape of the gemstones. As a result, the sapphire and diamonds are set at just the right heights and angles to create a dazzling visual display.
 The band of the ring, as well as the cross rungs of the setting, are hand engraved with a repeated chevron pattern. The edges of the band and the cross rungs are also milgrained with a fine bead-like pattern. Hand engraving a ring like this requires an artist's steady hand, an eye for detail, and several days on the jeweler's bench. Eight small diamonds are set in the cross rungs of the setting adding another touch of sparkle. Small details, like these secreted diamonds, are the hallmark of our handcrafted designs.
 Viewing the inside of the ring, you can see the care with which it was crafted. The underside is smooth and even with crisp edges, symmetrical windows beneath the gemstones and a beautiful mirror-like polish. All signs of a master platinum smith who took great pride and care in creating this jewel.
 A fine jewel is not complete without the registered hallmark of the maker and precious metal marks. In this close up you can see the maker's mark for Bijoux Extraordinaire ("BEL"). The precious metal mark for platinum ("PLAT") is also visible. These marks are your assurance of quality in materials, design and craftsmanship.

| The round Fancy Violet Sapphire weighs 1.11 carats and measures approximately 6.4 millimeters in diameter. The two side diamonds are ideal cuts and weigh a total of 0.24 carats. They are D-E color and VS clarity. This ring is for a finger size 5 1/2 and can be resized to fit most fingers. | ||
