Elegant Art Nouveau Cufflinks

Jugendstil!

The elegant, flowing lines of the Art Nouveau are captured in these stylish cufflinks.  Though crafted in America,  these cufflinks show the flowing organic forms of the German  Jugendstil.  Circa 1910,  14kt gold.

The cufflinks are extremely well constructed.  The elegant tops are attached to bean-shape backs with sturdy "Y" bridges.  Note how the tips of the "Y" bridge are beveled and polished to flow smoothly into the backs of the tops.  The goldsmith's attention to small details is amazing.

These cufflinks were made by Whiteside & Blank,  a maker of fine jewelry during the Victorian and later periods.  The maker's mark for Whiteside & Blank  (an arrow piercing a crescent moon)  is stamped on the bean backs.

Name:  Jugendstil!

Cost:  Although these elegant cufflinks have sold,  you will find many more fine cufflinks in the Antique Cufflink Gallery.

Measurements:  These elegant 14kt gold cufflinks weigh a total of  7.4 grams.  The tops are  7/8" long and  1/2" wide.
