Peridot Circles

Radiating circles frame a glowing green peridot cradled by sweeping golden bridges.  This stickpin is an imaginative wedding of Gothic Revival design and Art Deco geometry by Hans Brassler.  Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1910.

Hans Brassler was a gifted jeweler who in the early 1900s created an innovative collection of strikingly imaginative jewels.  His work reflects a wide variety of design influences.  In this stickpin there are hints of Gothic, Celtic Revival and Art Deco design.

The stickpin is beautifully crafted with a solid gold back and sturdy gold pin stem. (see photo below)  The maker's mark of the Brassler workshop, an oval enclosing "14B", is stamped on the side of the upper pin stem.
