Oval Diamond and Princess Cuts

Diamond Pizzazz II |
| Several years ago we created a ring for a
couple featuring a sparkling oval diamond and invisible-set
Princess-cut diamonds set along the shoulders. We called
the ring Diamond
Pizzazz.
A new client loved the Diamond Pizzazz design, but wanted to give the ring a bolder look. So, instead of small invisible-set diamonds, we set six larger Princess-cut diamonds along the shoulders of the ring and framed the band in a raised, milgrained edge. |

 The center diamond is a 1.5 carat oval. It is set in a platinum half bezel. Beneath the open sides of the oval setting, three Princess-cut diamonds are channel set along the shoulders of the ring. The raised milgrained edges add another element to the design and helps frame the band. The ring is hand crafted in platinum.  For an added surprise, we burnish set two Fancy Intense Yellow diamonds in the sides of the bezel setting. The yellow diamonds contrast nicely with the stark white brightly polished platinum sides of the ring. The ring has high shoulders which add to the bold look and accommodate the channel-set Princess-cut diamonds. The thickness of the band is maintained throughout its circumference. |

 From the underside you can see the care taken in crafting the ring. The inner surfaces of the ring are as beautifully finished, the underside of the channel settings are straight and even, and the inner edges are slightly beveled for a comfortable fit. All signs of a master craftsman |

| The center oval diamond weighs just under 1.5 carats and is D color and VS2 clarity The oval diamond is approximately 8 millimeters long and 6 millimeters wide. The six Princess-cut diamonds weigh a total of 1.4 carats. | ||
