![]() Elegant Platinum and Gold Cufflinks![]() Black Tie! |
The elegant contrast of richly engraved platinum and black enamel accents is heightened by the dramatic navette shape and Art Deco zigzag borders. These cufflinks bespeak the exuberant elegance of the 1920s. Just right for "putting on the Ritz" at Jay Gatsby's next black tie affair. Created in platinum and 14kt gold, circa 1925.
![]() The backs of the cufflinks are beautifully crafted in 14kt yellow gold. Sturdy cross bars and distinctive Fleur-de-lys brackets secure the links on the cuff. The gold backs are polished to a mirror-like finish - please excuse the reflections from my camera.
![]() The cross bars are stamped "PLAT." for platinum and "14K" for the purity of the gold. There is no maker's mark, but based on similar cufflinks I believe this pair may have been created by S. B. Champlin Company of Providence, Rhode Island.
