Titania Drusy Quartz Necklace![]() |
Mysteries of the Sphinx |
|
A dramatic and colorful Titania coated drusy is the focal point in this Mysteries of the Sphinx pendant.
Drusy is a layer of minute quartz crystals that have crystallized on the surface of another gemstone or mineral. In this pendant, the micro crystals have formed atop white chalcedony quartz. The Drusy Quartz was then coated with titanium and treated with an electrical current to induce vivid, jewel tones as you can see here.
![]() Cut in the form of an elongated pear-shape the titania quartz has a flared tie-shape stripe encrusted with tiny drusy crystals and a dazzling array of vivid metallic rainbow colors. Inspired by the mysteries of ancient Egypt, the pendant is handcrafted in 18kt yellow gold wih the drusy set in a crisp bezel that perfectly outlines its shape. Above the drusy an oval amethyst is bezel set between two sweeping golden arms accented with small round burnish set blue-green tourmalines. The Amethyst and Tourmalines beautifully accentuate the rich purple and teal hues seen in the drusy.
![]() From the back you can see the sturdy underbezel supporting the main gemstone as well as the oversized bail formed by the sweeping golden arms thus allowing you to wear this spectacular jewel with a variety of chains, omega chokers and silk cords. You can also see our Registered Hallmark (BELtd) and the quality of the metal (18k) stamped on the back of the pendant. These marks ensure you have purchased a quality jewel created by master craftsmen and skilled designers.
