Victorian Onyx and Pearl BroochLilies of the Valley! |
An elegant Victorian brooch with an exquisitely crafted bouquet of Lilies of the Valley. The miniature flowers and stylized leaves are rose gold set with small pearls. During the Victorian era, Lilies of the Valley were seen as a symbol of humility and the return of happiness. Crafted in onyx and 14kt gold, circa 1870.
As with all fine jewels, the back of the brooch is crafted as nicely as the front. The brooch is secured with a sturdy pin stem and catch. A chatelaine hook in the center allows a small watch or other pendant to be suspended from the brooch.
