Carrington Blue Enamel Cufflinks

Carrington & Company created beautiful guilloche enamel cufflinks during the early part of the 20th century. These elegant cufflinks wed translucent blue-gray enamel with an intricate engine-turned pattern of concentric circles and sectioned diamond motifs. The blue-gray centers are surrounded by white enamel borders and gold edges. Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1910.
 The reverse of the cufflinks are well crafted with sturdy cross bars and secure brackets. The backs are polished to a mirror-like finish (please excuse the reflections from our camera) and engraved with the initials of the original owner of the cufflinks ("G.B.M.").
 The maker's mark for Carrington & Co. (a "C" surrounding a "14") is stamped on the cross bars. Because the tops of the cross bars are slightly rounded the mark is only partially rendered. Based in Newark, New Jersey, Carrington created beautiful 14kt and 18kt gold cufflinks from about 1900 to 1950.
