Golden Scrolls!

Beautifully chased and hand-engraved acanthus leaf scrolls fill these striking cufflinks from Carrington & Company.  A dramatic example of the intricate foliate and scroll designs of the late Victorian era.  Crafted in 14kt gold,  circa 1900.

The backs of the cufflinks are as well crafted as the fronts.  Note the linkage style that was favored by Carrington and several other fine cufflinks makers during the early 1900s.  The maker's mark of Carrington & Company (a "C" surrounding "14" for the purity of the gold) is visible below the brackets.

Carrington & Company was one of the premier makers of fine cufflinks during the first half of the 20th century.  The firm supplied beautiful gold and platinum cufflinks to the finest jewelers of the day, including Tiffany & Company.
