Elegant North Star Cufflinks![]() North Star |
Finely engraved North Star centers are framed by
a border of bold flame-like acanthus leaves. Rose garlands
and a dentil inner-border add an additional touch of
elegance. These beautifully crafted cufflinks were created
in 14kt gold circa 1920. The backs of the cufflinks are as finely crafted as the fronts. Note the sturdy, thick side walls and even, polished surfaces. Sturdy cross bars and decorated brackets secure the cufflinks on the cuff. (Please excuse the shadowy reflections from my camera in the polished gold.)
![]() The cross bars are stamped "14K" for the purity of the gold. Although the name of the workshop that created these cufflinks is unknown, the distinctive stylized roses that decorate the brackets serve as a signature identifying the maker's cufflinks. Appropriately, the maker has been nicknamed the "Rose Bracket Maker."
