Art Deco Cufflinks

Elegant Art Deco cufflinks. (J9143)

Rippling Ponds!

Borders of stylized water lilies and waving grasses surround centers engraved with a rippling pattern reminiscent of waves on a wind blown pond.  A wonderful example of the evocative, richly detailed cufflinks of the early Art Deco period.  Crafted in 14kt white and yellow gold,  circa 1920.

The backs of the cufflinks are well crafted in 14kt yellow gold and secured on the cuff with sturdy cross bars and strap brackets.  The yellow gold is polished to a bright finish.  Please excuse the dark "shadows" which are reflections from the camera.

The cross bars are stamped with the maker's mark of an unknown cufflink maker  -  a "T" above an "H". This maker was active during the Art Deco period and created fine cufflinks often embellished with richly detailed engraving.  Beneath the maker's mark is stamped "14" for the purity of the gold.
