Victorian Gothic Revival gold brooch.

Gothic Elegance!
An elegant Victorian brooch with Gothic-inspired quatrefoil and circle motifs.  The decorative elements are beautifully executed in twisted wire work and brightly polished gold beads.  Crafted in 15kt gold, circa 1860.

In this close-up of the brooch,  you can see the details of the intricate twisted wire work and the small gold beads.  The rich warmth of the yellow gold is nicely accented by the polished rose gold ends and gold beads.

As with all fine jewels, the back of the brooch is as nicely finished as the front.  At one point during the past 150 years the hinge of the pin was repaired.  A slight discoloration from the repair can be seen near the hinge.  The repair was well done and does not detract from the beauty of the brooch.
