Engraved White Gold Cufflinks

Elegantly engraved antique white gold cufflinks. (J8771)

Elegantly Engraved!
White gold cufflinks with beautifully engine-turned spiral centers surrounded by lively scrolling borders.  Engine turning was a means of engraving intricate, repeating patterns on gold and other precious metal surfaces that was favored by cufflink makers during the Art Deco era.  Crafted in 14kt gold,  circa 1925.

The backs of the cufflinks are crafted in 14kt white gold and polished to a mirror-like finish. (Please excuse the dark reflections from my camera.)  The cufflinks are secured on the cuff with sturdy cross bars and ring brackets.

The cross bars are stamped with the maker's mark of Wordley, Allsopp and Bliss ("WAB"), a maker of fine cufflinks and dress sets during the first half of the 20th century.  The opposite side of the cross bar is marked "14K" for the purity of the gold.
