Intricately Engraved Cufflinks
| Finely engraved centers radiate like golden
spider webs glistening with morning dew surrounded by a jungle
of tangled fronds and teeming vegetation. These jazzy
cufflinks are a striking example of the intricately detailed,
finely engraved cufflinks favored during the Art Deco era.
Crafted in 10kt yellow and white gold, circa 1925.
The backs of the cufflinks are crafted in 10kt yellow gold and polished to a smooth, mirror-like finish. Secured on the cuff with bow-shaped cross bars and sturdy tube brackets, these cufflinks were designed and crafted to survive the decades and be passed from one generation to the next.
The maker, Ziething & Company, was known for creating bright, intricately engraved cufflinks that epitomized the jazzy elegance of the Art Deco era. The Ziething maker's mark (a "Z" in a lozenge-shaped cartouche) is stamped on one side of the cross bars. The opposite side is marked "10K" for the purity of the gold.
