Intricately Engraved Cufflinks
| Finely engraved centers radiate like golden
suns amid a tangled jungle of exotic foliage and waving
fronds. A deep blue sapphire is set on one side
for a bit of color. These richly detailed cufflinks
are in the "intricate style" of the early Jazz Age in which no
surface, no matter how small, was left unadorned. Created
in 10kt yellow and white gold, circa 1925.
The backs of the cufflinks are crafted as nicely as the fronts. The cufflinks are secured on the cuff with strong bow cross bars and sturdy tube brackets. The backs are crafted in 10kt yellow gold polished to a bright finish.
The maker's mark of Ziething & Company (a "Z" inside a diamond-shaped frame) is stamped on the cross bars. Ziething & Co. was a maker of finely crafted cufflinks during the 1920s and 1930s. The opposite side of the cross bar is marked "10K" for the purity of the gold.
