Platinum and Diamond CufflinksPlatinum Elegance |
Art Deco cufflinks with sparkling diamonds and
platinum tops elegantly engraved with wavy pinstripes and
surrounded by laurel wreath borders. Finely crafted in
platinum and 14kt gold, circa 1920.
As with all fine jewels, you should closely examine the backs of cufflinks. The backs of these are crafted in 14kt yellow gold with sturdy cross bars and brackets which secure the links on the cuff.
The cross bars are stamped with the precious metal marks for platinum ("PLAT") and 14kt gold ("14K"). This style of platinum-over-gold cufflink was popular during the late Edwardian and early Art Deco periods, circa 1915 to 1925.
