Sinuous, untamed scrolls surround a sparkling
star-set diamond in this tour de force of Art Nouveau
design. These elegant cufflinks were created by Whiteside
& Blank in 14kt gold, circa 1900.
Whiteside & Blank created strikingly elegant cufflinks, stickpins and brooches during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The firm was known for its elegant designs and meticulous, uncompromising craftsmanship. A bit of cufflink history trivia - one of the firm's
founders, Henry Blank,
The cufflinks are beautifully crafted with sturdy curved "Y" bridges connecting the solid oval tops to "bean" backs. The maker's mark of Whiteside & Blank (a crescent pierced by an arrow) is stamped on the inside of the bean backs along with "14K" for the purity of the gold.
